Lili Sandu (born May 28, 1983 in Tulcea, Romania) is a Romanian singer and actress. She attended and graduated the George Enescu Highschool in Bucharest, Romania, with a Degree in Music in 1998. She also attended and graduated from the University Spiru Haret with a Degree in Journalism.
Lili launched her solo career in January 2005 under her alias "Lil' Lee", releasing a single titled Aproape de tine ("Close To You"). The song was a hit and a staple on MTV Romania. In February of the same year, she debuted as an actress in a secondary role as Casandra from the Romanian Soap Opera "Numai iubirea" ("Only Friends") on the ACASA Romanian Network. By now she was using her real name "Lili Sandu." Later that year she played the role of a protagonist, Rebeca Alecu, in the series "Pacatele Evei" ("Original Sin") on the same network.
In 2006 Lili performed the theme song to "Pacatele Evei" with Razvan Fodor.
In October 2007 Lili recorded and released a video for CatMusic Entertainment. The song "Jump" received attention both by radio and TV as well as the internet, and was a Top 100 hit in Romania in December 2007 and January 2008. Under my soul, Sandu's first full-length CD was released in December 2007 and features the song "Jump" as well as a variety of other dance tunes and soulfull ballads, all sung in English.
In 2008 Lili was cast in the Romanian soap opera (novela) Doctori de mame on AcasaTV Romania. She also performed on Dansez pentru tine on ProTV Romania, but had to quit due to an injury during a rehearsal.
On the 16th of August 2008, Lili performed "Hot Sound Maker" at la Festivalul de la Callatis (The Callatis Festival) and aired on TVR 2 in Romania. The video appears on the official webpage. Since August 2008 Lili has been signed to the talent agency Music Management.
On the 12 of February 2009, Lili released her latest video single "Lee Lee" released on Gala Records Romania. A new CD is planned for release in the summer of 2009 on Gala Records Romania.
